As a graphic designer for the City of Portland Parks & Recreation department, I work on many interesting design projects ranging from park rules signs to forestry brochures. This piece is a 3.25” x 6.75” placard for the city’s park rangers to distribute to park users. Below are street tree planting list brochures for the Urban Forestry bureau.

Established in 1972, the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB or the Board) is a non-profit tribal advisory organization serving the forty-three federally recognized tribes of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Our mission is to eliminate health disparities and improve the quality of life of American Indians and Alaska Natives by supporting Northwest Tribes in their delivery of culturally appropriate, high-quality healthcare.
I was fortunate enough to work on the Board's 50th anniversary commemoration. During 2022 we held special events, messaged historical call-outs from our social channels, and produced a historical video for our 50th year. I created a special 50th-anniversary logo set that was used across all of our branded communication channels. I respectfully started with the original logo created by Warm Springs artist, Marc Mosley. I then merged the numeric design elements with the form and gilded the logo with an "anniversary" gold accent color.
When NPAIHB hired me, my first directive was to improve the look of their long-standing publication, Health News & Notes. I created a simple layout and seasonal color system for their quarterly newsletter and added an email newsletter for the in-between months. The result was a clean and easy-to-read publication filled with the latest Northwest Native policy and public health news.
The American Indian College Fund needed a campaign of digital ads to promote their events. The ads needed to size to a number of different environments and integrate with their existing Stand With Native Students effort. I designed a series of ads using iconic cityscapes to give each event a sense of place. I've also designed postcards, infographics, and other marketing collateral for The Fund.

IFILL CUP has made huge developments in the single serve beverage and food industry. Over 100 artisan roasters have partnered with IFILL, using their incredible technology to produce retail single serve products.
I primarily designed retail packaging for their partner artisan coffee roasters.
In 2017 I helped horticulture giant, Sunlight Supply Inc., launch their e commerce presence. A long-time manufacturer and supplier of indoor and outdoor gardening products, Sunlight Supply leads the industry in controlled environment horticultural technology. The job was one part photography to one part graphic design.
I volunteered my services of communication strategy and photography to a number of organizations including Central City Concern, Native American Youth Association, and KMHD Jazz Radio. I really hope to fill this section with a lot more design work in the future.
Alcoholics Anonymous, District 37, recently approached me to make them a logo - something that would adhere to the established visual guidelines of AA, yet effectively identify their regional district within the global organization.
Lifeline, a recovery-based organization in Washington state, was generous enough to give me a volunteer design opportunity. The first project of what I hope to be a long partnership, printed information cards for their Alcohol and Drug Information School (ADIS).
Justin Lowe and I shot this short film about the sculpture and process of Wieden+Kennedy co-founder, David Kennedy. Music performed by Auditory Sculpture - from the album "Lagom"
