This is a press release that I co-wrote with members of NPAIHB senior leadership at the conclusion of the 2023 National Tribal Opioid Summit. We used quotes that I took from the summit presenters. The event attracted tribal, state, and federal policymakers from across the nation.
The OHSU School of Medicine maintains a prodigious editorial calendar. My role was to cover the education beat, amplifying the student voice, school activities, policies, and staffing committees. I enjoyed designing and producing the weekly newsletter, photographing subjects, maintaining the student blog, and writing articles.
One brand that has been an absolute pleasure to work on is Nike N7, inspired by "Native American wisdom of the Seven Generations: In every deliberation we must consider the impact of our decisions on the seventh generation." In this piece for Cowboys & Indians, I went to Nike headquarters to interview the brand's founder, Sam McCracken.
